CPL SYSTEMS RELEASE PAGER ENTERPRISE 5.3.0
PageR Enterprise, the popular network monitoring system,
released version 5.3.0 which features a poweful new alerting method. PageR
VOICE CONTROL allows users to receive a voice message to any type of phone
(cell or landline) and to give an instant response via the
touchtone keypad on the phone. This allows PageR to know that a support person
was actually contacted. The response is also able to tell PageR to take some
other appropriate action such as suspend monitoring. For examle key 2 to halt
the alert escalation process. This new technology was made possible by the HiRO
VOICE modem, a low cost usb device which supports the TAPI voice protocol.
PageR Enterprise monitors Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 2003, Windows 2008 and Windows 7. Monitored Object types can be chosen to Monitor Windows Services, Disc Space, Disc Drives, Windows Event Logs, Windows Folders, Web Pages, Disc Files, Windows Process, WMI, SNMP and Email.
A new object in PageR 5.3.0 now allows you to easily monitor temperature in server racks. Called TEMPer GOLD it uses a usb temperature monitoring device to check temperatures inreal time and alert when necessary. It also logs temperature data to allow the creation of temperature charts over time.
